Updating Hardware Drivers Made Simple – My Thoughts on Driver Checker

Driver Checker DownloadUpdating outdated drivers and installing latest drivers is very important to maximize the performance of your PC. The problem, however, is that a lot of us, including me, are not patient enough to do it. There is, fortunately, a solution available in the form of Driver Checker. It is a program that I personally use to keep my PC updated with all the latest servers. In this review, I am going to share my thoughts on this software program with you.

Downloading Driver Checker from the official website is a breeze. It can be downloaded and installed in a minute or two. The company offers two versions – a demo version and an advanced version. The demo version is free, but it lacks certain features. So, I became a registered user and purchased the advanced version.

The first thing I noticed about Driver Checker is that its interface is very user friendly. So, searching for outdated drivers and updating them is quite simple. Let me tell you how it can be done.

1.         You need to open the program and click ‘Start Scan’ button. The software will start scanning your hard drive immediately.

2.         The program will ask you if you want to make a backup. Click ‘Yes’. This step is often skipped by a lot of people, but in my opinion it is always good to have a backup. If you are not interested, you can click ‘No’.

3.         Now, Driver Checker will scan your system thoroughly and display a list of outdated drivers.

4.         What you need to do now is real simple. Select the drivers that need to be updated by clicking the checkboxes given in the list. Once you are done, you can click ‘Next’ to install the latest versions.

5.         Once the old drivers are replaced by the new ones by Driver Checker, you need to click ‘OK’ to end the process.

6.         Click ‘OK’ again for a complete reboot. Now, your system is as good as new.

What I really like about Driver Checker is that it gives you complete control over your PC. With just a single click, you will be able to get all the information you want about the hardware drivers in your system. Updating them, again, can be done with a few clicks. So, essentially, it makes the cumbersome job of removing old drivers and installing new drivers very easy.

Driver Checker has a restore feature which helps you select drivers from backup files and restore them instantly. An interesting thing I noticed is that the program is also able to remove the pop-ups generated by malware or spyware. Since it is able to repair most of the driver problems that we often come across, the overall efficiency of the system improves to a great extent.

Whenever there is a latest version of hardware driver available, Driver Checker displays an update option and asks you if you are interested. So, most of the times, there is no need for you to check if there are any latest versions available. It is automatically done by the program. It is a useful little feature, but I am not sure if it is available in the free version or not.

There is a detailed FAQ section on the official website which can clarify a lot of your doubts about Driver Checker. If you still have any doubts, you can get in touch with the 24-hour support center. My experience with the support staff so far has been very good as they were able to clarify all my doubts about the software.

So, what do I think of Driver Checker? I can tell you that it is a very useful program. Ever since I installed it, I have not seen any error messages, warning messages, or those annoying blue screens. My system does not freeze or crash and has sped up considerably. Most importantly, I am able to use a USB device, DVD player, printer, scanner, and a whole lot of devices without any hassles. So, I have to say that it is a good buy.
